Bishop Enrique Angelelli a martyr of Argentina's Dirty War

Bishop Enrique Ángel Angelelli (17 June 1923 – 4 August 1976) was killed during the Argentinian Dirty War for his involvement with social issues.

Enthusiasts in Halle Belgium, Cardijn's home town, have created the Cardijn Wandeling - the Cardijn Walk, which follows the streets that Cardijn walked as a child, going past his family home.

GWO Addleshaw was an Anglican priest who attended a JOC training program with Cardijn in Belgium in 1938. He was also vice-principal at St Chad's College which is now part of the University of Durham.

Later he wrote a series of booklets setting out his findings and expounding the JOC doctrines as well as Cardijn's theology of work.

Pleased to announce that we have a new section of this website dedicated to Cardijn Priests, i.e. those priests who followed Cardijn in their ministry. So far we have 14 priests listed - a very small sample of the thousands of Cardijn priests. However, it is enough to start. We hope to add more as time progresses. Our latest priest is Fr Tom Danaher MM, former Hong Kong YCW chaplain who died this week.
